Fit of Rage

Explosion of Anger

Most of us have experienced in our lifetime an explosion of anger. We keep all those negative feelings bottled up inside, then one day, someone may say or do something quite unrelated, and BOOM, we explode in a “fit of rage” that has very little to do with the current issue. It is just that we have kept all the past hurts bottled up inside us causing us much distress within ourselves.

It is this holding on of pent up negative feelings that makes many of us sick and as a result we find ourselves ineffective witnesses, enclosed in wrath, enclosed in a “body of death.” This is probably the very essence and cause of all of our emotional and even physical sickness.

For many of us entering and experiencing our promised land is very difficult because of all this pent up anger.

The way to cut off this anger in us is through our fellowship with one another in and through Christ whereby we “confess our sins one to another.”

We cannot deal with this anger on our own. In the world, people spend thousands of dollars on psychiatrists to get rid of all this “enclosed wrath” that cripples society, but we understand that God knows us so very well inside and out so there is absolutely nothing that goes on in our minds that He is unaware of and that is not common to man.

So when we share these negative feelings with each other we realise that these attitudes and feelings are common to everyone. We are not alone.

Conquering these attitudes and feelings in our own personal promised land creates good soil for the good seed to be planted so that it is not lost and will grow into a great tree planted in our lives that will bear “much fruit” unto the living God. Jesus said in

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Let us then move on into this abundant victorious life promised us through Christ.
